“To achieve purity of mind, one should cultivate constant awareness by being mindful all the time.”

“Meditation is a journey without movement. In the external world you have to move in order to go ahead, in meditation you don’t move yet you attain.”

Swami Rama

During the first part (day 1-7) we will systematically set up the foundation needed to begin the process of constant awareness, both during your daily activities and in your meditation practice. This training includes proper posture, correct diaphragmatic breathing and understanding the mind.

Topics discussed: the 4 functions of mind, sushumna application, the 5 koshas, internal dialogue, contemplation and mantra practices, witnessing and purifying your emotions, thoughts, speech and actions.

In the second part of this retreat (day 8-10) we will practice silence. This period will allow you to experiment and practice with all the practices offered in the first part.

On the last day (day 11) we will come out of silence and share our experiences, have time for Q&A, and share how to continue with your meditation and self-awareness practices once you have returned home. Afterwards you are all invited to stay for lunch.

Participants commit to staying in the ashram for the duration of the retreat to intensify their practice.

Three vegetarian meals are provided daily.
