If you learn to go beyond the jabbering of your mind and can go to the deeper aspects of your consciousness, then body, breath, and mind will not come in your way.
Swami Rama
Amidst all your cries and laughter let your mind take a moment off and go still. Look at this moment, this moment alone, and go still.
Swami Veda Bharati
Aims and Objectives:
Experience stillness and silence within. The sentiment of this retreat is to develop awareness in all we do, say, and think. This will lead us to the depths of who we truly are. Then freedom from fear is given. Even an intellectual understanding leads to stability of mind and release of so called “stress.” Swami Rama explained this modern term “stress” as ignorance! Where does ignorance reside? In the intellect. How can we remove ignorance? By knowledge! The knowledge of non-duality leads to the revelation of the nature of Reality albeit intellectually, it grows and becomes experiential with sadhana.
This 4-day comprehensive retreat with Dr Shirin includes the following:
- Fundamental theoretical knowledge of Vedanta
- Practical exercises towards the aim – these include hatha yoga, pranayama and meditation.
All interactive session answers by participants will be written and returned. No one breaks the silence.
Participants are requested to divert all calls, and hand over their mobiles to the manager. The phones will be returned at the end of the retreat.
