This weekend program is experiential, dedicated to attaining stillness, not only in the body, and not only in the breath and mind; it’s about unlocking the key to stillness in motion, how to be still in the midst of daily life with all of its ups and downs.

In this program we will explore how to make the body still, and how to still the breath and mind. Finally, the technique of taking that stillness into daily life will be explored.

Program begins Friday night at 6 p.m., and ends on Sunday at noon.

Typical Daily Schedule

6:00 a.m.,  tea, hot lemon water

6:30-7:00, mindful brisk walking along Ganga

7:15-8:00,  systematic relaxation & breath awareness

8:00, breakfast

10:00-11:30, discussion, instruction in SIM

11:45-12:45, Silent self practice in meditation hall

1:00 p.m., lunch

2-3:00, personal time/rest/reflection

3-4:30, Swami Rama video

4:30, tea

5-6:30, systematic relaxation and breath awareness

6:30-7:00, mindful brisk walking along Ganga

7:00, supper

7:30-8:30, discussion, sharing, Q&A

8:30-9:00, guided meditation


Note: New Series

This weekend program is the first in a series of programs exploring the deeper levels of stillness and silence. The next level in this series of programs is titled “Stillness in Silence,” which will be offered in 3, 5, 7, or 10-day increments. Attendance at the first level is required before going on to the next level. Finally, the third level is called “Deeper Levels of Motion in Stillness,” and will be a 14-day program. Attendance in the previous 2 levels is required before attending the third level.
