Dates: March 8-11, 2018

“There are many kinds of physical exercises in yoga; these have varying effects on mind and body. One collection of exercises is considered to be the most subtle. [For example, the exercises without movement] are practiced internally, without movement, and have a profound effect. They will help you understand your mind and its relationship with the breath and physical body.”

Swami Rama

The Himalayan Tradition of Yoga/Meditation is one of progressively moving inwards from the gross (physical) levels of our being to deeper layers within, so as to experience the purity, peace, joy and bliss of the most subtle level–the center of consciousness.

This workshop will include practices for exploring the 5 koshas or sheaths: annamaya, pranamaya, manomaya, vijnanamaya, anandamaya; and the 3 bodies: sthula (gross body), sukshma (subtle) and karana (causal) bodies.
