Swami Ritavan Bharati, Spiritual Successor to Swami Veda Bharati, is a silent monk and sadhaka of the Himalayan Tradition. He studied with Swami Rama and Swami Veda for nearly 50 years and is currently serving as the Ashram Pramukh and Spiritual Guide of sister-ashram Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama.

Dr. M. Ganasan, a disciple of Swami Rama since 1990. Dr. Ganasan focuses on Yoga Therapy based on Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and Swami Rama’s teachings.

Ma Sewa Bharati, shares her experiences of the yogic teachings of Sri Swami Rama of the Himalayas, in particular the preparation and purification of the body, breath, senses, mind, intellect and emotions for meditation.

Ma Tripurashakti Bharati, when she visited Sadhana Mandir for the first time in 2009, felt immediately at home. That visit changed her life and led her to take sannyasa in 2012. Now, since 2019, she lives in Sadhana Mandir and shares with joy and playfulness the fundamentals of yoga meditation.

Mrs. Savitri Jugdeo has been and continues to be guided by Sri Swami Rama and Sri Swami Veda for over 30 years. A certified yoga instructor, she is also registered with Yoga Alliance with E-RYT 500 credentials.

Ms. B. Maithili, a disciple of Swami Rama, is serving the Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust in the capacity of Director of Rural Development Institute. She is also a contributing author to At the Feet of a Himalayan Master: Remembering Swami Rama, volume 2.

Dr. Prakash Keshaviah, co-author of At the Feet of a Himalayan Master: Remembering Swami Rama volume 1, and editor of the series, is Director of Nephrology and an Honorary Professor of Physiology at HIHT. He received Post-Graduate Degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Physiology from the University of Minnesota, USA. His training with Swamiji dates back to the late 1960s.

Kamal Didi,  Director Swami Rama Centre at Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust, studied closely with Swami Rama from 1980-1996. She is a contributing author to At the Feet of a Himalayan Master: Remembering Swami Rama, volume 1.

Garima Kapoor comes from a family that has been with Swamiji for a very long time, placing her in the third generation of devotees. She has grown up in an environment which has imbibed his teachings in their day-to-day living, and works at the Rural Development Institute of HIHT.

Rahul Baluni received his Masters degree in Yoga Science from Uttarakhand Sanskrit University, Haridwar, and studied under the guidance of Swami Veda Bharati for 6 years at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama (SRSG), where he also did teachers training. He is a yoga teacher at Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust (HIHT).

Piyush Saxena completed 200 hours teacher training program from Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama (SRSG). Piyush likes to share his passion, his journey and experiences to help others.

Dr. Kathleen McKeehan is a Nursing Advisor at the Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust. She received her Ph.D. in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University, USA. She is a certified Hatha Yoga teacher and worked with Swamiji in USA before coming to India in 1992.

Mira Swami, a disciple of Swami Rama, practices Osteopathy at the Himalayan Institute Hospital. She is also trained in Ayurveda and Aromatherapy.

Dr. Sunil Saini , Senior Consultant Surgical Oncology, Professor of Surgery. Dedicated to the service of cancer patients, Dr. Saini was inspired and trained by Swami Rama to focus on holistic approaches, quality of life issues and stress management in cancer control and research.

Dr. Vijay Dhasmana, member Presidential Body, is respected for his dynamic leadership and management abilities. Having recently translated several of Swami Rama’s books from English into Hindi, Vijay is very conversant with Swamiji’s teachings.

Dr. Vijendra Chauhan is a Professor and an eminent Surgeon of Orthopaedics in HIHT. He is also a member of the Presidential Body. He received his MS in Orthopaedics from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences. He has been associated with Swamiji since 1994.

Dr. Achala M. Singhal,  is a Professor & Head of Cardiology Department at Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences. Personally trained by Sri Swami Rama in holistic approaches to medicine, Dr. Achala has conducted research on the effects of meditation and breath control on hypertension and heart disease. Holistic approaches with cardiac patients have helped avoid invasive procedures in many cases, along with complete healing.

Dr. Anil Singhal is Professor of Neurology at HIHT. He received his M.D. in Medicine at AIIMS and did his residency in Neurology in USA. He is Head of the Departments of Holistic Medicine and Neurosciences. He worked closely with Swamiji from the very inception of HIHT.

Guest Speakers:

Wesley Van Linda is a long time student of Swami Rama and began teaching meditation at his request. He teaches at the Yoga Society in Milwaukee and for the past 15 years and has taught credited courses at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

Dr Shirin Venkatramani, is a disciple of Swami Rama and after his mahasamadhi Swami Veda Bharati. She has had the good fortune of meeting many enlightened beings. The highlight of her life has been to do walkathons along the rivers of India to create a wave of awareness regarding maternal mortality. She has authored three books: Holistic Motherhood, Jeevansar Kathamrut, Your Questions Answered. She has also translated the ShivGoraksha by Mrunalini Joshi into English. Charles Crenshaw Jr MS, is co-founder of Inner Peace Yoga Center in Indianapolis. He has been practicing meditation and yoga since 1974, and holds a Master’s degree in Eastern Studies/Comparative Psychology from the University of Scranton. He is author of Pathless Path: God, Grace, Guru – An African American life transformed through yoga and meditation.
